A backup must restore and access must remain controlled

Data protection and backups

We build a clear backup process, monitor job results and test recovery. We also address baseline risks in access, updates and system configuration.

When it helps

Having a copy does not automatically mean being ready to recover

We help companies in Odesa and remote offices in other regions turn backup and baseline technical protection from isolated settings into a managed process.

Backups are never checked

It is unclear whether jobs finish successfully or whether the required files, databases or systems can be restored.

Access has accumulated over time

Unused accounts, shared passwords or excessive permissions remain around critical data and services.

No recovery plan

The organisation has not defined what to restore first, where copies are kept or who makes decisions during an incident.

Service scope

What we can configure and monitor

The design depends on data volume, business-critical systems, acceptable downtime, connectivity and available storage.

Backups for servers, virtual machines and important data
Local, remote or cloud storage
Schedules, retention and result monitoring
Recovery testing and documented procedures
Review of accounts, permissions and baseline protection settings
Monitoring of updates, configurations and error alerts

Engagement model

Ongoing control or a focused backup project

We can manage backups and baseline security settings monthly or deliver a one-off review, new backup design or recovery test.

  • We first identify critical data and an acceptable recovery order
  • We document storage locations, schedules, owners and access
  • Automated checks and alerts can run around the clock; response procedures are defined in the service plan
  • We do not treat synchronisation or a single copy as a complete backup strategy

Getting started

How we build a managed data-protection process

  1. 01

    Identify what is critical

We map systems, data, dependencies, acceptable loss and the preferred recovery order.

  2. 02

    Review the current state

We assess backup jobs, storage, access, logs, updates and existing instructions.

  3. 03

    Configure and test

We implement the agreed design, enable monitoring and perform a trial recovery.

  4. 04

    Keep it current

We monitor results, changing data volumes and new systems and update the documentation.

Backup and protection questions

How is a backup different from synchronisation?

Synchronisation can replicate deletion or corruption to other devices. A backup process provides separate recovery points, retention and monitoring of job results.

Does recovery need to be tested?

Yes. A successful job status does not guarantee that all required data can be restored within an acceptable time. Periodic recovery tests validate the design.

Where should backups be stored?

Primary data and backups should normally be separated rather than relying on one storage system. The right mix of local, remote or cloud storage depends on data volume, connectivity and business requirements.

Is this a formal information-security audit?

No. We review technical configurations, access, updates and backups within the agreed IT support scope. Formal compliance audits or penetration tests require a separate specialist engagement.
